With a first pro photo taken in 1984, we know a thing or two about capturing amazing images. Specialising in portraiture, sport, nature and underwater, with images appearing in Forbes magazine, Geo, Daily Telegraph, Harpers & Queen, The Iconic, to name a few (publicity still for “Tangles & Knots” short movie shown left). A deep understanding of how to connect with your subject is the fundamental key to all photography so always a delight to see your subject’s reaction when they see how you’ve captured their true essence.

Over the years we have developed a simple yet highly-effective method for both film and stills, which we now offer as a course to get you producing the kinds of images you’ve always dreamed of. Cutting through all of the technology that you don’t need, we show you exactly how to seize control of your camera and concentrate on perfecting your art. Nothing more satisfying that being there, in that lightbulb moment, when the student realises what they are capable of!

i hate having my photo taken, what do i do?
Unlike most others, we spend time getting to know you, to establish a connection through laughter, banter and empathy. We always insist that our clients are thrilled with how great they look, acceptable is not good enough
Do I need previous experience to take a course?
Not at all! In fact, no previous experience usually means no bad habits. The courses work on the ‘keep it simple’ philosophy, a simple range of techniques that leave you in total control over your images, used by Paul for over 30 years.
how much do the courses cost?
The “Mastering the Basics” course for either photography or video is $375 inc.GST and run for approximately 5 hours.
who cuts your hair?
I actually cut it myself, but thanks for noticing.
