About
established in 1983
As far back as I can remember, I’ve had a fascination for cameras. My uncle was a location manager for the James Bond movies, and I was intoxicated by what I saw, the ability of images to connect positively with those around me
I was always encouraged by my beautiful parents to follow my dreams, even helping me to save and buy my first Nikon at the tender age of 13 years old. 6 months of saving from a part-time job in a supermarket and then, just before christmas, they announced they would contribute the remainder and I was set on my path.
My first job after leaving school was with the UK’s leading underwater photography specialist, Ocean Optics, learning my craft from legendary BBC Natural History Unit cameraman, Peter Scoones, and iconic photographer, Peter Rowlands.
Travelling the world, I was incredibly blessed to work with some of the industry’s leading names, from filming tv commercials for cigarettes in Turkey, to capturing amazing footage of dolphins off of the Norwegian coast, photographing otters on the Shetland Islands and shooting professional models in the Egyptian Red Sea
The main thing I have learned over all these years, is that without a connection with your subject, the results will be ordinary
And I don’t do ordinary…
I look forward to meeting you
Paul
